More data, more insight, better decisions
CORTIME generates several design iterations providing data-based insight that enables better design decisions. As an alternative to conventional product development, which typically consists of manual trial & error processes, CORTIME automates design variations using state-of-the-art algorithms. The data-based insight is visualized in interactive plots providing the documentation and knowledge for better design decisions.

How CORTIME works
CORTIME uses the parameters of your CAD model in SolidWorks and, when needed, the simulation results from SolidWorks Simulation to generate data for the design exploration and data analysis.
- You start by defining your variables in CORTIME, by adding the dimensions from your parametric CAD model.
- Then you add your sensors in the feature manager tree which will function as objectives in your design exploration. Any sensor available in SolidWorks can be used as an objective in your exploration and most SolidWorks Simulation studies can be applied – including Flow, Static, Thermal, Frequency, Buckling, Motion Analysis, Pressure Vessels, Non-Linear Static and Linear Dynamic studies. As an exclusive feature in SolidWorks, you can run multi-study optimizations using every simulation study.
- Now you are ready to run a sensitivity analysis, design optimization or robust design analysis to explore your design in SolidWorks.
